I am running the current nightly on a headless redhat box. I was wondering is there a way that I can have the box be able to play my mp3s? I want to use a 3.5mm to RCA cable and just plug the outpt of the audio port directly into the AUX on my sterio. In an ideal world I would be able to control what it playing via the web interface. Is this possible to add or is there a program that already does this?
    Thank you,
    Ben

That looks really nice — thanks for the heads-up on that.

Uh, there used to be a reply there that pointed to a console daap client, I thought.

    Doh!

If I were going to do it, though, I’d probably use slim server and mpg123, something like “mpg123 http://localhost:9000/stream.mp3” and use the web interface on slimserver to queue up songs and whatnot.
