smart playlist not working?

Hi,

i just wanted to use smart playlist…

i used the web admin interface to create a new playlist.

i saved the playlist, restarted the server (svn-1498 on debian sarge) and the client (thythmbox on ubuntu edgy)

i connected to the server, but the playlist is not shown.

it is simply not there.

i guess i miss something here.

please help me, if possible!

No need to restart the server.

Did you click the small arrow symbol next to the server? Playlists will only show when the server gets expanded (new iTunes versions automatically do that, but I seem to remember that with older iTunes, it was a problem, no idea how Rhythmbox handles this… or wait… does Rhythmbox support playlists at all?).

a static playlist works, so i guess rhythmbox should support it….

Rhythmbox doesn’t load the playlists from the server. Playlists on rhythmbox have to be set up on the client, but the last version of rhythmbox I used doesn’t allow playlists set up with remote media assets.

That’s the last I tried it, maybe 3 or 4 months ago on Edgy.
