    How do you properly shut down mt-daapd? I issued the kill command for the PID and now I have a “ghost” share in my iTunes!

    There is a “shutdown” button on the web interface, that should do it, or kill -INT to the pid in /var/run/mt-daapd.pid.

    I use

    /etc/init.d/mt-daapd stop
