Participantfor an update…everything I tried I could not get the service to not error out. so I re-installed just plain old FC3 and it took me literally 30 seconds to re-install everything from RPMs and have it up a running B)
now I just need it to populate, I have artists in respective folders, will it find the mp3s in those folders? They are all in my music folder that I specified for it to look in in the .conf file. Or do I need just mp3s in the file?

ParticipantFrom what I can tell, you are asking whether or not the daemon will recursively drill down through the hierarchy of the directory (or directories) designated in the configuration file.
The answer is, yes, it will. Provided the files all end in an extension which declared in the same configuration file and the files themselves are not corrupt in some manner, the daemon will recursively search the designated hierarchy. The amount of time required is related to the number of files, but it has never taken more than a couple of minutes at most for me.
