The same config worked for years (two) and now I can’t get it into action

Great that you mention this little detail ๐Ÿ˜‰
Never change a running system! So what did you change, thats the culprit then.

Yeah I know, if only I knew…. I thought It was just the firmwareupdate of the router….

Could be the case. Those SpeedTouch things are evil.
You’re best off to get a real router and just use the speedtouch as DSL modem anyway.

Could very well be that the speedtouch is blocking multicast packets. *shrug*

You need to narrow down the options here. To rule out the speedtouch just wire the SB up to your PC directly.

That’s a good idea, i’ll come back later!
(Noob question): normal UTP or cross-cable?
    I also have a Fritzbox 7170 new-in-the-box, better?

You can try a direct cable but only if your computer is kinda new and detects crossover / direct cable. I’m not sure if the soundbridge does detect it, either.

So short answer: try it, if the lights go blinky it’s looking good ๐Ÿ™‚

Usually you need a cross-over cable to directly connect two devices with cat5.
