Resolved ~ iTunes shows share but won’t connect

I have firefly running standalone on a DNS-323.

The share shows up in iTunes just fine, but when I click to connect, the barber pole spins in iTunes for a bit, then the share disappears. A restart of iTunes brings the share back, but still can’t connect.

Firefly Media Server, version svn-1498
iTunes 7.3.1.3
DNS-323 firmware 1.03

I’ve tried doing a full rescan as well.

Any ideas?

Strangely, that sounds like a firewall issue on the DNS-323. Is there any kind of firewalling on that machine?

Also, it might be worth setting a logfile in the admin page, cranking hte debug level up to 9, and trying to connect, just to see what it logs — maybe something strange is happening when it connects that will show up int he logs.
