Do I need to do a rescan to make it re-read a m3u playlist?

    Example:
    – A few songs in list.m3u
    – Force a scan
    – Play list.m3u from a client
    – Make changes to list.m3u

Will firefly now stream the original or the changed content?

For a roku client, it caches the result of the playlist query. So the first time you start playing the playlist, it reads it all into memory. If you subsequently change the playlist (and rescan), then the sb doesn’t notice. It keeps playing the old playlist.

If you go back to the menu and pick the playlist again, though, it should read the new playlist..

Same thing with iTunes. a disconnect and reconnect make it recognize the new playlists.

And yes, that’s after a scan.
