Since I have set port forwarding on my router and dynamic dns, shouldn’t I be able to do this remotely (say from work). I can see my NAS via port 443, but I can’t run http://NAS:3689 or http://NAS:3689/rsp/info etc. Is there something I am missing there?

Thanks for sticking with me on this. Much appreciated!

Did you change NAS to the IP or machine name of your machine running FireFly ?

Have you set port forwarding for 3689 as well ?

I ran http://NAS:3689/rsp/db/* and I got a listing of all 41 songs in my music/Media share. So looks like firefly is finding everything.

I have turned debug level up to 9 to see if I can get more answers.

Nothing unusual noted on the log files.

I decided to reset the FW on the NV+ and that re-installs the firmware. Now I can’t log in to the firefly admin page. User id: admin , password – I tried combinations of ‘infrant1’ or ‘netgear1’ or the admin password for the NV+. Nothing works.

    Any advice?

I do not know about the Infrant install, but the default password is either mt-daapd or firefly.

Try your old password for Firefly.
When I did a firmware upgrade on my ReadyNAS I was surprised to find that it kept the old config file & hence password.

You could also try running the CleanITunesConfig addon found at http://www.readynas.com/?page_id=94.
All it does is replace the confir file with a default one. The default password is *netgear1*
