InactiveI’m pretty new to this so please forgive me my ignorance 🙂
I’m reading that Firefly is compatible with iTunes, so doesn’t that mean that I can use it as a client to connect to my Firefly server?
If so: how? I can’t seem to find it. I’m using iTunes for Windows.15/11/2007 at 10:42 PM #14478rpedde

If so: how? I can’t seem to find it. I’m using iTunes for Windows.Correct. Verify that you have “search for shared music” turned on in your iTunes preferences. That should be about it.

ParticipantThink of firefly as an “itunes Server”.
When firefly is running, your itunes running on windows can see firefly as a shared library.

Then what? Do I force some kind of update? That’s in your iTunes preferences. On the client. In the “sharing” tab, there is a checkbox called “Look for shared libraries”. Check that box, and that should be it.

Then what? Do I force some kind of update?itunes will not find shared music on the same machine as the client AFAIK.
You need to run firefly on a different machine to your itunes for it to be seen.
