    Hi,

I am trying to run Firefly Service 1.0 svn-1483 on a PC with XP SP2
It installed fine, and after the initial install it built a catalogue, and reported back some time later that the catalogue was complete.

However, then it stopped, and now each time it appears to start, but shortly afterwards stops again. Log file shows the following:

    Log file: firefly.log

    2007-09-26 21:47:20 (a3d85486): Starting with debuglevel 2
    2007-09-26 21:47:29 (a3d85486): Starting rendezvous daemon
    2007-09-26 21:47:29 (a3d85486): Building drive mapping table from C:Program FilesFirefly Media Servermapping.ini
    2007-09-26 21:47:29 (a3d85486): Initializing database
    2007-09-26 21:47:51 (a3d85486): Starting web server from C:Program FilesFirefly Media Serveradmin-root on port 9999
2007-09-26 21:47:51 (a3d85486): Listen port: An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions.

2007-09-26 21:47:51 (a3d85486): Error staring web server: An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions.

    2007-09-26 21:47:51: Aborting

I tried switching off Windows firewall, no difference
I tried explicitly opening port 9999, no difference
I tried adding a password to the account (from a post I saw in this forum), no difference.

Anybody got a suggestion for what the problem might be, or how to fix it?
    Suggestions most gratefully received.

    Sincerely,
    – Crispin.

Something is already running on 9999. Try changing to port from 9999 to something else.
