ParticipantYou need to enter the same password/username that you need to access firefly’s admin pages.
the default on linux is mt-daapd/mt-daapd. Might hold true for windows as well. *shrug*You can sure look them up in the firefly config file, however. 😉

You can acess your server music via the address: http://server:9999/Fireplay.html. (Replacing the word ‘server’ with the name you’ve given your own server).
HTH,

Inactivearcherprincess,
Firstly, do you have access to your server from work otherwise?
If you do, it means either (or both,) of your router settings and firewall need altering:
On your router, you will need to forward the 9999 port, (if that’s what you’re using,) to your server.
On your firewall, you need to check that there is an exception to allow FirePlay on the same port, to have access.HTH,
Colin

InactiveI’m such a dumb bum! All my ports in the port forwarding were listed and enabled except i never checked the enable box next to port 9999! Sorry! I’m sure it should work now! I won’t be able to test it until
monday night at work, buy maybe I’ll have my Mom try from her house! Thanks for all the help!@ColinWH wrote:

InactiveHi,
We all do it!
On your laptop. I’m not sure about your server, but certainly Windows Home Server, (the software on your HP unit,) doesn’t come as standard with a outbound firewall, but I’m not sure if HP install one.Colin
