I really like the new “applet” mode in svn-909, but I cannot get alac transcoding to work on any of the .m4a or .m4p files in my library. When trying to run alac from the command line it either fails with a segmentation fault or reports the following messages:
    $>alac -f foo.wav Tragedy.m4a
    (moov) unknown chunk id: iods
    (top) unknown chunk id: ►ÇÇÇ
failed to load the QuickTime movie headers

    What is the problem here?

Also, not sure if this is a related problem or not, but “applet” mode does not work at all for firefox in Linux – it hangs the browser and forces me to kill the firefox process to regain control.

Dunno.. is that really an alac file, or is that just an aac file?

If you email me the file (ron at pedde.com), I can take a look at it.
