new (Jan 16) nightly seems to fix the % problem as expected – I can now stop and start mt-daapd and it reloads to previous database OK.

There seems to be a problem when I run a rescan initiated from the web interface. the program went non responsive and crashed.

I tried to do a -d9 dump and it didn’t reproduce – perhaps because once I restarted it got the new files in on initial scan so there were no new files when it rescanned??

    Note:I’m using sqlite3 db

Update: If I make a trivial change in a song filename (removing a blank space) then it will crash on rescan.

There are some re-entrancy issues on background rescans… the result of a stupid assumption on my part.

If you don’t touch the database while it’s rescanning, it’s okay. If you do anything to touch the db while it rescans, it craters.

That includes refreshing the status page. I’m looking at it now, hope to have a fix tomorrow. I *warned* about this db code being fragile. 🙂
