Hello Ron,
I installed gdb on the system. I launched:
gdb –exec=/usr/local/sbin/mt-daapd –core=core
In the (gdb) prompt I typed backtrace.
Here is what I got:

I think that this is not what you want, right? Did I miss a flag for the gdb command?
