I’m having the same issue as you, during the the DB scan when I start it up it dies while parsing my classical collection. I start mt-daapd with the following options:
mt-daapd -c /etc/mt-daapd.conf -f
Its gets to a certain beethoven song:
Short read: /mnt/media/media/Music/25 Beethoven Favorites/25-Symphony No. 9 in D Minor _Choral_ ( IV. Finale_All_Egero_Assai).mp3
Rendezvous socket closed (daapd server crashed?) Aborting.
Aborting
Segmentation fault
So I renamed the song to Symphony.No.9.in.D.Minor.Choral.IV.Finale.Egero.Assai.mp3.
When I started up mt-daapd with the above command it scanned 1889 in. I have over 13000. So, I started up the background scanner from the web page I got the following:
Short read: /mnt/media/media/Music/25 Beethoven Favorites/Symphony.No.9.in.D.Minor.Choral.IV.Finale.Egero.Assai.mp3
Rendezvous socket closed (daapd server crashed?) Aborting.
Aborting
Segmentation fault
