UTF8 characters not being read in correctly

I have a track called
La Valse d’Amélie [Amélie]

which results in the following error in the log (build 1696):
Invalid UTF-8 in /music/Compilations/Pure Cinema Classics (Disc 2)/2-03 La Valse d’Amlie [Amlie].aif

Based on my investigations this is either being caused by the single quote character or the accented character. I expect both of these are 2 byte UTF characters that require conversion.
