Hm, for some reason I haven’t noticed this thread…. *ponders*

I’ve recently bought a Sharkoon 3.5” enclosure. Its pretty good. My other one is a Macpower Pleiades enclosure. Both are made from solid aluminum, but the Sharkoon is superiour, because it automatically spins down the disk (or maybe the disk is soo much smarter *Shrug* – aks Samsung)

I too had to re-flash and re-unsling my slug. From now on I will backup all my config files 😉

    Hi,

I bought a couple of enclosures by acomdata.
They are IDE and they work really well.. I have had them for about 10 weeks now, no problems.
I believe that they make SATA ones as well.
Cool thing (no pun intended) is that they do not require a fan as the chassis is specially designed to dissipate heat.
I was skeptical at first, but they run reasonably cool and are silent, great for offices, etc. where noise is an issue.
    Hope this helps.
