Trivial question
Your website urges users to update their Firefly to the latest version, even when the installed version is already the latest.
It would be very convenient if your website could interrogate the remote computer and display the version number that presently pertains. Then users would know whether to update or not.

Please specify whether:
In an update, can Firefly nightlies overwrite previous versions, or must the original be uninstalled prior to an update from this site?

You can overwrite the previous version.
However it is often necessary to create the configuration from scratch, because there were many changes.
