Transcoding

Hi.

Where is the wav-files temp. stored at when transcoded? And what is the max file size allowed when transcoding? Is the wav-files deleted when they’re done playing? What if multiple clients connects at the same time and plays/transcode i.e. the same song at the same time… Wouldn’t it be a conflict? Or does the transcoding script handle such things, with file names, affiliation, etc?

Just curious. Just want to know the basics. I’m running the newest nightlies now and I’m running flac like never before! 🙂

Hi,

Transcoding is done “on-the-fly” so there is no temporary .wav file. And no problem playing the same or different stuff to multiple clients.
