I am ready to get an AppleTV but I am making sure my mt-daapd (Linux) is serving my collection properly.
I am having a small problem:
My media collection is on a separate partition of the same drive that mt-daapd runs on. My mt-daapd server shows in Amarok, but mt-daapd has not created a playlist. If I move some mp3s to my $HOME directory (which is also on a seperate partition of the same drive mt-daapd is running on) and change the path in mt-daapd.conf the playlist is created and the songs show correctly in Amarok.
It should also be noted that the media collection partition is a primary partition located before the extended partitions that Linux runs on.
Does this break the “same physical filesystem” rule or are there other issues I should be looking for?
I do have mt-daapd working fine otherwise, I just need to find a way to serve the files from that partition.
Thanks!
