Using Kurobox-HG.
My OS is the so-called “Sylver” 2.6 version, apparently based on Debian.
I attempted the make of the latest svn-1489 and encountered some header file issues (I’ll post another thread on that).
Meanwhile, back on this 2005 version of mt-daapd included with Sylver, I’m not getting any songs added to the data base. I’ve copied a bunch of mp3’s into the /mnt/itunes folder, and pressed the scan button a few times. I’m guessing that what’s going on is that my database app isn’t running but I don’t know how to fire it up properly I guess.
Here’s my ps -aux:
[root@KURO-BOX:~]$ ps -aux
Bad syntax, perhaps a bogus ‘-‘?

(case matters was the warning, if you don’t remember 😉 )22/01/2007 at 4:10 PM #8655Digital LarryParticipantHi CCR,
Actually the case was OK in the config file, I just blew it when typing it in here. But thx for the reminder.
In any case I built and installed the svn-1489 version so now I have a different set of problems!

You’ll have yet another if you keep that config file. You’ll probably want to get the sample config from the “contrib” directory and overwrite your existing one. Then edit it to taste.
There are some differences in the config file (particularly the [plugins] section) and you’ll have to have a “new format” config file to work right.
