Hey there… question from a Noob.
I have Firefly setup on an Ubuntu 9.04 box. I copied my music over to the box and am wondering if Firefly can only search for songs in the subfolders located in the folder specified as the music location?
I copied my music from my MAC and of course all the songs are stored in each their own subfolders (names of the artists, then albums)… see below
Here is a directory listing of what is setup as the music folder (/media/MDASRV/):
david@david-desktop:/media/MDASRV$ ls -al
total 4020
drwxrwxrwx 5 david david 4096 2010-03-20 20:51 .
drwxr-xr-x 7 root root 4096 2010-03-21 11:08 ..
-rwxr-xr-x 1 david david 4068750 2008-12-24 10:05 02 One Gun.m4a
drwx
3 david david 4096 2010-03-14 10:54 iphoto
drwxrwxrwx 386 david david 12288 2010-03-13 22:35 iTunes
drwx
2 root root 16384 2010-03-20 20:42 lost+found
david@david-desktop:/media/MDASRV$
So Firefly will find the one .m4a song in that directory but it wont find the songs stored in the subfolders in the iTunes directory (i.e.):
david@david-desktop:/media/MDASRV/iTunes$ ls -al
total 1564
drwxrwxrwx 386 david david 12288 2010-03-13 22:35 .
drwxrwxrwx 5 david david 4096 2010-03-20 20:51 ..
drwxrwxrwx 6 david david 4096 2010-03-13 22:28 3 Doors Down
drwxrwxrwx 3 david david 4096 2010-03-13 22:28 54-40
drwxrwxrwx 3 david david 4096 2010-03-13 22:28 54•40
drwxrwxrwx 3 david david 4096 2010-03-13 22:28 Ace Of Base

drwxrwxrwx 3 david david 4096 2010-03-13 22:28 Adam Sandler
As you can see, I’ve modified the permissions so that everyone should have access. Is there a way to get Firefly to search all subfolders in the specified music directory?
Thanks
