Missing Songs after a couple of days

Hi,

I have about 8500 songs in my iTunes library that are served through Firefly. After about a day this number drops right down to around 3000 to 4000 (iTunes still sees 8500). A full rescan makes no difference. Only by removing the db and rescanning does the number go back up. Any suggestions? Has only started doing this recently.

Sounds a bit rum :?, not seen this before, but then again I only have 4500 songs.

Is this with sqlite or sqlite3 ?

Have you checked free disk space on the drive with the database and your temp ?

No problems with space and I am using sqlite3. Just managed to recover this time by a full scan.

Couple of things that may be an issue.

1. There is an lone m4v file (Lost episode) in the library that doesn’t appear in any playlist.

2. I am running big backups at the mo. Maybe its a file access issue?
