I have an HP MediaSmart connected to a GigE home network and a PS3 downstairs via a wireless connection. Everything is set up correctly and in the same IP range and subnet.
The PS3 discovers the MediaSmart, see the albums, photos, etc.
I have also created m3u playlists for some albums and have them as relative and not absolute paths (this is an issue if you use a pc and itunes, since you have to map the location as a drive letter – so the playlists in that scenario get messed up).
So, I just placed the album folders in the music directory and used an external application to create basic playlists. Those show up on my ps3 as well, but the problem I have had all weekend is that they do not properly advance through the playlist. It will play individual songs, but won’t play the whole thing.
Has anyone figured this out???

The ps3 is playing through the windows media center server, as that’s what’s serving UPnP. Firefly doesn’t do that, so it isn’t visible to your PS3.
That actually looks to me to be a Windows Media Center issue (or a PS3 issue).

It serves content to iTunes clients (or other daap clients). It doesn’t do UPnP, and the PS3 won’t see it. If the PS3 is seeing something, it isn’t firefly. It’s the built in media sharing from home server.
