    Thanks,

Needed to do apt-get update before I could apt-get install cc-devel

Now I get this: configure: error: id3tag.h not found… try –with-id3tag=dir

    Where do I find id3tag,h ??

Found it: I needed libid3tag and libid3tag-devel stuff and found rpms for it.

    So I installed:

    libid3tag-0.15.1b-3.1.fc2.dag.i386.rpm
    libid3tag-devel-0.15.1b-3.1.fc2.dag.i386.rpm

    and also

    libid3tag-devel-0.15.1b-3.1.fc2.dag.i386.rpm

    to get through ./configure

    make

    make install

    Seems to have gone ok.

Sorry for the slow reply…Thanksgiving here. Do you have things working? Sounds like you got it! From memory…

I also had to use the –with-flac option (or something close) to enable flac transcoding. I also remember using a switch to use sqlite2.

I had one problem after I compiled. I couldn’t get the interface to come up and it turned out to be a rights problem on on of the configuration files. Let me know if you have problems and I’m sure it will jog my memory.

    Thanks!

I got it working. It compiled ok and seems to be running quite stable now.
For some reason it is saying “Bonjour stopped” on the satus page (I thought this was only needed on Windows?), but it works with my Soundbridge and also with FirePlay so I’m happy for now 😀

The Bonjour status is a known issue.

Hi, i’m having trouble installing onto a CC server too. I started by downloading the tarball method, but I wasn’t sure where to put the files/folders then someone suggested using the rpm method but I seem to have to download file after file to get it working and I’m not even sure if i’m downloading the correct files.

Did we ever get a CC/CentOS4/RHEL4 .rpm?
