    I found this in my /var/log/messages :

    Mar 18 19:40:28 slugger mt-daapd[1878]: *** WARNING *** The programme ‘mt-daapd’ uses the HOWL compatiblity layer of Avahi.
    Mar 18 19:40:28 slugger mt-daapd[1878]: *** WARNING *** Please fix your application to use the native API of Avahi!

    My request is to help us Debian (NSLU2) users get rid of this warning.

    –enable-avahi

    at ./configure

    Was that a binary package? Then something went wrong when the maintainer made the package.

    Yes, I installed it using apt-get. I have contacted the maintainer.

    Thx alot mas, for pointing me in the right direction.
