I’m running FireFly svn-1696 on a NSLU2 w/ uNSLUng V2.3R63-uNSLUng-6.10-beta.
Accessing FireFly via iTunes (now v.9.0.1.8) on Windows.
Entire library is ~9000 tunes, across 5 different FireFly music directories.
Connecting generally works nicely. And I can play several hours of stream.
Eventually, though, I lose FireFly; the slug stays up, but none of the mt-daapd processes survive.
When running with debuglevel of 5, I find I’m getting a log full of “timeout in select” records.
2009-10-01 13:57:29 (00003803): timeout in select
If I try to trace back thread 00003803, the very first thing I find in the log is:

then a couple of threads start getting into trouble
2009-10-01 05:37:01 (00004805): Thread 16: Entering ws_returnerror (302: Moved)
2009-10-01 05:37:02 (00007806): Cannot resolve /opt/share/mt-daapd/admin-root//favicon.ico

though that looks like issues with the web admin page.
But immediately following
2009-10-01 05:50:42 (0000d004): Write error: Connection reset by peer
2009-10-01 05:50:42 (0000d004): Error copying file to remote...
and shortly thereafter I start seeing my first
2009-10-01 05:57:40 (00003803): timeout in select
followed by several hundred of the same, one every second.
Eventually more and more threads start succumbing to the “timeout in select”, until finally I get
2009-10-01 13:58:30 (0002d804): Write error: Connection reset by peer
2009-10-01 13:58:30 (0002d804): Error copying file to remote...
2009-10-01 13:58:31 (00000400): Rendezvous socket closed (daap server crashed?) Aborting.
2009-10-01 13:58:31: Aborting
What is “timeout in select”?
It seems to be this resource vortex, sucking down my FireFly.
Any ideas how to fix/prevent?Thanks in advance!
