I haven’t had time to update FirePlay in a while but all your bug reports are noted and I’m greatful for the community support. The list as of now:
1. False double-clicking
2. Playlist window size (actually I’m thinking of removing it completely)
3. Pause-navigate-unpause starts from the wrong position (annoying)Feel free to add more to this list. I’ll try to get to it soon.

I thought it wasn’t possible to do in flash. But I hope I’m wrong, I also want to play my ACC-files 🙂
My suggestions to the todo-list 🙂
1. Show “Compilations” as in iTunes and FireFly Client – they just show compilations in an own artist category “Compliltationsâ€

http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashmediaserver/articles/audio_playlist_app_06.htmlA quick google shows me ActionScript 3.0 supports AAC.
Now just hope FirePlay was coded in ActionScript 3.0 instead of 2.0. 🙂18/08/2008 at 6:16 AM #14086Bo MellbergParticipant@EVILRipper wrote:

Now just hope FirePlay was coded in ActionScript 3.0 instead of 2.0. 🙂Sorry to say. It was coded in 2.0 to be able to compile as Flash6 to support some older platforms like the Wii.
On the other hand, playing single AAC-encoded files would not be possible anyway, since they have to be served by Flash Media Server, see this page:
http://www.kaourantin.net/2007/08/what-just-happened-to-video-on-web_20.htmlAnd a quote in the article:
I am not in a position able to explain to you why we will not allow 3rd party streaming servers to stream H.264 video or AAC audio into the Flash Player. What I can tell you is that we do not allow this without proper licensing. Refer to Adobe’s friendly Flash Media Server sales staff for more information.
Too bad. It would be nice to be able to support AAC. Perhaps you can use the FireFly Java Client?

31/08/2008 at 4:52 AM #14088AnonymousInactiveHello, I am running firefly off of freenas. I have put the fireplay files in my web directory and can load the file at http://ip:85/FirePlay/FirePlay.html
However this does not work and I am left with connecting. I believe this is because rsp info is not found and I cant point it to another directory is there anyway I can change where it looks, and where would it look with firefly on freenas? Thanks!31/08/2008 at 7:25 AM #14089AnonymousInactiveI figured it out. For anyone else out there you have to login to your freenas gui. Click Advanced. Click Command. Then type cp -R /whereyouputFirePlay /usr/local/share/my-daapd/admin-root Then click execute. You have to issue the command through this interface I guess, even though I have my self an admin account I still could not do it from a normal ssh session without getting ‘permission denied’
13/09/2008 at 12:03 AM #14090AnonymousInactiveDear All-
I had the same problem with no list populating and the header saying “Connecting…”
I switched to Chrome. Checked my IE version -> 6. So I think, as Bo suspected, the bug is in IE and NOT Fireplay.
Cheers to Bo and I hope this cuts down on somepeoples’ frustration!
Thanks,
