I quite like this, I found it on the web. Perhaps with the album art on the left?
I prefer something a little less bright – so you don’t light up the whole room with your screen. Something like this product image, maybe with a subtle time remaining gauge on the bottom?
I like it
14/01/2008 at 4:01 PM #13862AnonymousInactiveCan somebody help me with FirePlay (0.84) and my HP Mediasmart Server?
I have it installed and running. I when I try to access “http://’myserver’:9999/FirePlay.html” from internal or external I have a problem.
The webpage will display with the full fireplay interface but it will not populate. After some time I get a popup from Adobe Flash Player 9 with this message: A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 9 to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script? Yes or no buttons. If I click NO the I get some data in the GENRE Field …. ALL (3765 genres) … 1000,
Fallin … and on like this …
After a few more minutes then I get the same popup again and if I click NO to stopping the script then it fills in the ARTIST Field with the same data … ALL (3765 artists) … 1000,Fallin' For You .. and so onI can access the Firefly config page (internal and external lan) and I can access pages such as “http://’myserver.com’:9999/server-info?output=xml” and “http://’myserver.com’:9999/rsp/info” – I can even stream to MediaPlayer using “http://’myserver.com’:9999/rsp/stream/1004” (complete with album art!)
I have updated my Firefly to Version svn-1696 with no difference.
Can somone help me troubleshoot this?
Thanks!

Make sure you only have one fireplay window open. Also, if you let the script keep running, does it every load properly? I had an issue with a very low (CPU) power device, but it did eventually load.
Steve.

Can you tell me the output of the following http-request:
http://www.yourserver.com:3689/rsp/db/1/genre?type=browse
or use port 9999 if you are on windows.[/code]

Here is what was output. I only have the default music setup right now as I was testing it out on my WHS before I transferred all of my iTunes music over.

I tried my firefly server PC’s IP address but that didn’t work. Do I need to have a port open on my router? My Soundbridge found firely right away so I never had to deal with any of this stuff before now.

ClassicalOk, I added a static playlist using the admin page:
http://www.yourserver.com:9999/playlist.html
Ater I did this the interface showed the correct data for the albums, artists, and songs. The only problem I have now is that the songs won’t play if I click the play button. The time just stays at 0:00. If I go to my firefly admin page it is showing that it is transcoding but I never receive it in my browser.
Any thoughts?

Is your collection purely flac? I ask since you mention transcoding. FirePlay only supports mp3:s.

Yes…. It was my fault. The files I copied over to test were wma’s. It was having trouble with them. Once I copied over some mp3’s it streamed over the internet just fine.
Thanks
