Filesystem independent system

Hi,

Is it possible to make the DB filesystem independent? I’ve my music on multiple discs and now I can only access part of it.
Is it perhaps possible to make some hash of the filename and use that as id? Seems to me the id is only used to reference the record in the DB, not to locate the file on disc. I could be wrong, didn’t read the code that well :).

Yup. Check nightlies — http://nightlies.mt-daapd.org, it’s fixed there.
