database is deleted if USB disk not connected

All my music is on an external USB Disk. Sometimes I use the PC without listening any track, so I don’t connect the disk.
When tried to use Firefly again, the Database has been deleted. No track indexed. And I got to scan again.

How can I avoid this issue?

set rescan interval to zero and switch off initial scan.

Firefly is wiping the db because when the USB disk is not connected, firefly can’t see the music when it starts a scan & updates the db accordingly.

i’m assuming that “initial scan” you mean “always scan” set to “NO”.

Rescan interval set to 0.

No, i meant “skip first scan”, default is “no”
Firefly always initiates a scan on start up. Setting this option will stop that behaviour.
