I’ve got Firefly running successfully on my Synology DS107e Diskstation, streaming music to my Soundbridge M1001 and Soundbridge Radio.

However, when selecting the Firefly as a source, you have to select “Play Firefly svn-1696 on Diskstation” which is a bit of a mouthfull and not very user friendly when it comes to explaining it to the wife!

How do I change the name to something simple like “CD Collection”?

    Cheers

You can change this from the configuration web page.

This is found on http://server:3689 or http://server:9999 if on windows.
Go to the Configuration link, and press Show Advanced configuration

You probably have something like %v on %h – change this to CD Collection.

Press [Save] at the bottom of the page.

You will have to reconnect from your soundbridge afterwards.

    Hi

    Thanks for the quick reply,

I’ve clicked on the Show Advanced Configuration but I cannot find any reference to %v or %h.

Any idea what section or field I’m supposed to be changing, none seem appropriate for this purpose.

    Thanks again….

Sorry – the field is Server Name in the Server section.

Or if you edit the .conf file it is servername
