So I noticed the FIREFLY add-in on the WeGotServed WHS site and downloaded it. I have not installed it as of yet, because I have a few issues with my server that I need to address first. I’m running Windows Home Server’s eval edition and need to get the RTM version before adding anything else.
What I need to know is if FIREFLY will actually help with my setup.
1.) An iTunes library on a Windows Home Server network share.
2.) Apple AirPort Express connected to a BOSE 3.2.1 system.
3.) Plans to add a Roku Labs device.
I currently access my iTunes via my desktop or laptop and stream the music to the AirPort and BOSE. I would like to remove the need to keep the laptop or desktop and my server running in order to stream music. Will FIREFLY Media Server help here if I add a ROKU device to the setup?
Or perhaps all I need to do is add the ROKU and connect it to my router.
Thanks in advance,
Rob
