I don’t use id3lib, I use libid3tag, and mt-daapd already supports the TCMP tag (and YTCP as used in id3v2.2, and the cpil atom in aac files).
This thread is about marking songs as compilation based on filesystem location, not strictly based on tag contents.
Good patch though… have you pushed it to the upstream?
