Can I access the web interface over my local network?

On the server I access through localhost:1024/ but my server runs without a monitor and I access through Remote Desktop (running mac os x 10.4.8 on both server computer and laptop).

I’m trying to access through 192.xxx.x.x:1024 from my laptop but it doesn’t work.

    Any pointers?

    Thanks

i guess mac OS’s firewall prohibits that.
mt-daapd/firefly itself doesnt somehow limit access.

Yes. You have to set an admin password from the local machine first. Then you have to make sure that that port is unfirewalled.

You should have gotten a page that said that you couldn’t access the page unless you set an admin password though, so I’m not sure why you didn’t get at least that.

    Hi,

Yep, downloaded the latest nightly, followed the link there re firewall, set up admin password et voila. C’est formidable!
