Hi, just downloaded the 1.03b version. Had the previous version before & neither have wanted to play aiff files from my library (they work fine in itunes & slimserver BTW)
in the configuration page on the server info it does specify aiff as an extension (as per default settings), but on the roku the files simply don’t show up.
these were files originally downloaded as flac & then converted to aiff via xACT v.1.56
any thoughts?

Are the files named “.aif” or “.aiff”? And does the extensions line in the config match the file names?

yes the files are .aiff and that’s the extension format in the config.

I mean, do they show up on itunes against the firefly server?
Also, if you have your rescan interval set to 0, then you need to force a rescan through the web interface.
That’s all I can think of. It should work, otherwise.

rescan is at the default of 300

1. What’s the path of the file?
2. What is the extension of the file?
3. Is the file in your iTunes library?
4. What is your music library path as set in the firefly config?
5. What are the configured extensions, as seen in the web interface?Let’s start there.
06/08/2006 at 9:39 PM #5751AnonymousInactiveHi Ron,
in answer to the questions:
1. path is:
/Volumes/Drive 2/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Bob Dylan/Theme Time 2 Mother
2. file extension: 05 Tommy Duncan.aiff KIND: AIFF Audio File
3. yes the file is in my itunes library
4. music library path in config: /Volumes/Drive 2/Music/iTunes
5. extensions: .mp3, .m4a, .m4p, .aiff
06/08/2006 at 10:15 PM #5752AnonymousInactiveoh, and I realised what you meant about the firely server showing up on itunes (firefly on G5) and the aiff’s don’t appear…
