There’s a bug in the code that calls mt-daapd-ssc.sh. If the filename has round brackets then mt-daapd backslash escapes them before calling mt-daapd-ssc.sh. Unfortunately that’s not the right thing to do. Putting a debug statement redirected to a file in the script…
