    mt-daapd/Firefly Version: nightly 1571
    Server Operating System: FC3
Server Hardware: Pentium III PC, 1000 MHz
Client Device: Roku Soundbridge 1001–Updated to most recent software 2.7.78
Connection of clients: SoundBridge through Wireless Assess Point (connection working)

Okay, I’ve been lurking for a while to try and figure out why I can compile and even get a connection on my Soundbridge, but I cannot get my mt-daapd server to scan my ogg collection…
    ./configure –path=/usr –enable-sqlite3 –enable-oggvorbis
    make (no errors — I think….)
    make install (again no errors….)
    /etc/init.d/./mt-daapd start
Server starts okay.. but my log file shows:

I have opened up all my permissions for user nobody.
I can reach my mp3 directory by nobody via ls /home/Public/music/
I am not sure what else I need to do. Any suggestions???

BTW. I admire your dilegence and the amount of time you have invested in this application. Thank you!

use your web-admin-interface and add .ogg to the file extensions, and to the transcode-extensions as well.
Both is available via the advanced config panel alright.

I got it! Thanks! I also had an incorrect path for my transcoding directory for mt-daapd-ssc.sh. I thought I had look at all the logs til I set the level at 9 mt-

    $ mt-daapd -f -y -d 9

and that showed me that the transcoding sh wasn’t be found.

πŸ˜€ Thanks for the quick reply!!

Actually you can adjust the log-level dynamically using the web-interface.

I am having issues with the web interface. It is showing variable names and not the contents of the variables. What should the permissions be for admin-root directory? I have the mt-daapd.conf as owner nobody group nobody with permissions set to 600. -xr—- I have status and in the hdr.html it comes up as Welcome, Admin when I log in from any machine other than localhost. From localhost it does not display a user. Just says Welcome, . If needed I can post a screenshot of the web confguration page tonight… At work now.

    Thanks again for your help!

Are you sure you are accessing it though the webserver? Like, via “http://localhost:3689”, rather than opening the files directly?

    Yes, I use :

    http://localhost:3689

But a part of the problem may be I installed 0.2.4 first then the nightlies after. I did not remove admin-root before installing the nightlies.

You think a clean install would correct the web interface problem?

    Don’t think so… Maybe.

Can you post a screenshot of the config page?

What’s the easiest way to post .png/.jpg/.bmp ‘s of my screenshots?
