1586 is probably the most stable version with the post 0.2.4 features. It’s probably the version you want.
As far as why it’s failing, I’d be interested in seeing myself. Try setting a logfile in the config, and pushing the debug level to 9. Then run it until it crashes, and see what the log file says.
Or, post the last 20 lines or so of the log file. That will be helpful, too.
